Will the settings from 'Edit Character' in the menu apply to all quests?

A character's gear may be changed to one specifically designed for the story quest. However, the settings from 'Edit Character' will apply to other areas of the game.
All settings from 'Edit Character' will be applied to the Free Quests.
The settings will not be applied in the Bond Memory.
