Issues when transferring data from the Steam Deck Demo Version

If you’ve played the OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 demo on Steam Deck and want to continue to play the full version on your Steam Deck, it’s possible that the data transfer option will not appear on the title screen. 

 

If this happens, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue. 

First, ensure that Steam Cloud settings are enabled by following these steps: 

  1. On the Steam Deck, navigate to OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 Prologue Demo > Properties > General. 
  1. Enable the "Keep game's saves in the Steam Cloud for OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 Prologue Demo" option. 
  1. On Steam PC, go to the OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 Prologue Demo game page from your Library. 
  1. Ensure that the “Cloud Status” next to the “Play” button shows “Up to date”. 

 

Once you have done that, follow the steps below to transfer the save data: 

  1. Launch the Steam demo version on a PC and confirm that the save data from the Steam Deck has synced. 
  1. Launch the full Steam Version on a PC and transfer the demo data (the transfer option should show on the title screen). 
  1. Now you can launch the full version on your Steam Deck and the data will synchronize.
